Data is beautiful. It informs some of the most prominent decisions we make throughout our lives. Data is important not just in finance but in everything that guides us to happier, healthier lives.

Today we’re releasing Mosaic 1.6 which contains updates to the static charts debuted in our beta that was launched late last month. It’s going to be the first of several releases that we’re calling ‘The Engagement Updates’.

We’ve learned that Mosaic users love the simplicity of our charts. Some of the most common feedback in the initial weeks of the first open beta however indicated that we needed to make charts and data more engaging and interactive.

We’ve listened.

Today we’re releasing an update that allows you to interactive with the two most important chart types in the Mosaic app. On your home screen, you’ll see an edge-to-edge chart that indicates the past 30 days of your total portfolio performance. Now, if you tap the screen and hold, you’ll be able to get a snapshot of each days performance over the past 30 days. You’ll be able to see the corresponding date and the positive or negative change for the day as well!

On the asset detail screen, we’ve made charts interactive as well. When you tap and hold anywhere in the screen, you’ll see the corresponding date and the stocks percentage change for the day. If you’ve owned the stock in the selected period, you’ll also be able to track your holding value over time. To easily show scale, we’ve made 1 week and 1 month charts show individual day values and for 6 month and 1 year values we’ll show the change at the end of the month.

There is still plenty of work to be done around how we’re keeping our early adopters engaged. Shoot through any and all feedback to

You can also download Mosaic here and experience the new charts for yourself!
